The Expat Fairs is holding the Sustainable Christmas Fair at Winestone at Mercure, spotlighting small businesses, artisans, and social enterprises with one common goal: sustainable living. With free admission on 8th December, 12pm to 7pm, visitors will find a beautiful, seasonal assortment of ethical products and gifts to warm both the heart and home.

Today’s society is increasingly cognisant of each person’s impact on the environment and global communities. The Sustainable Christmas Fair is perfect for shoppers who seek to support fair trade, artisans, and the livelihoods of indigenous peoples, while appreciating natural fabrics and environmentally-friendly organic goods.

Shoppers can enjoy ethical and environmentally-responsible holiday shopping with fair-trade organic produce and edible treats, statement artisanal fashion and jewelry, environmentally-friendly home decor and accessories, and much more that are not only guilt-free, but also socially impactful.

The Sustainable Christmas Fair is family-friendly, with free Christmas face painting for kids from 2pm to 4pm. The fair venue, Winestone, welcomes visitors to dine-in, granting a 25% lunch or dinner voucher.

The fair will also feature an inspiring and intriguing project display by International Fashion Business students from the Raffles College of Higher Education. The visual feast shows the face and future of sustainable fashion, as formed by local talent, and looks to influence consumers to think differently about their fashion choices.

The Sustainable Christmas Fair is proud to provide a platform for social enterprises like Helping Hands Penan. These organisations seek to assist the less fortunate and native tribes locally and abroad, focusing on maintaining their livelihoods, and improving education and standards of living. Their heartfelt and quality products will delight those shopping for a good cause.

The Winestone restaurant’s concept revolves around the key words: simple, attractive, authentic and affordable – perfect for the fair and its genuine, sustainable offerings. Alongside esteemed venue partners Novotel and Mercure Hotels, The Expat Fairs hopes to support ethical and sustainable living in Singapore with the Sustainable Christmas Fair this December.
